New Home Adventures

I don't want to sound too negative, but our experience to start our new adventure here in Pittsburgh has not go so well. To start I bought a house that did not smell until we moved in an since the previous owners had dogs that went pee crazy all over the carpet we had to replace all the carpet and some of the baseboards. You can't get carpet the next day so we waited three long weeks. During that time we did received our storage items from Houston. Happy to see some furniture, but one of the movers stole all Stacey's jewelry except for what she was wearing. She noticed it right after the movers had left. We called the police and they were very quick to respond. We even had the police investigator fingerprint some areas. No word yet, but I am sure the moving company will end of paying the cost, but most things are irreplaceable family heirlooms. We then needed a bed to sleep on and Stacey laid in every bed in the store and we finally picked one. We don't have good luck with beds, but we waited the 10 or so days only to have the bed delivered with a hump in the middle. We have since ordered a new bed, but will wait another 10 days. Moving into a new home caused us to also buy a new washer/dryer. No big deal. Laundry Laundry Laundry and then one day I go into the garage and the ceiling is leaking. This is right before the Christmas weekend and we started making calls. A plumber told me to not use the half bath since he thought that was the issue, but then after doing another load of laundry I went in to check on it and stepped in a puddle of water. I then noticed that the drain hose had come loose and the water had gushed out. The garage ceiling was pouring like rain and we had found our source. The washer/dryer installers had not clamped the line correctly. Since then we have repaired the problem and laundry room looks great. So if you come to visit we will start the tour there. We are still waiting on the installers insurance. That will be another battle I'm sure. The final fun was Pepe' got fleas and he had to bomb the house. Never had fleas before, but suppossively they are bad this year. Now we have carpet, which I wanted to kiss, a couch, and a big 19" TV. The boys are doing great in school and since we are close to good doctors, Mason will be having tubes put back in his ears since he has fluid in them. Poor guy. Who knows how long that has gone on. We have had great weather with snow one day and beautiful (although rare) sunshine the next. The boys sled down the hill in the back of our house so I can't wait for more snow so I can do it with them. The neighbors to both sides of us seem nice and one of the them brought us cookies. The Lord only gives you what you can handle so bring it on Lord because we can handle it. Things are now heading in the right direction and we are looking forward to doing things here in this part of the world.

Does this look like fun?

Mason painting his room.

Cameron with my childhood friend.  He named it Judson.

My painting partner.

They are filling out Mama's clothes more and more.
I hope we catch him.
Trying to relax.

Talented!
