Pirates Game

We headed to PNC Park and took in a Pirates game today.  The park is perfectly located on the river facing downtown and it seems there is not a bad seat in the stadium because we were in the upper deck and still I thought they were good seats.  It was hot and we were all sweating bullets so after two innings we decided to walk around a bit.  The boys got a jersey of their favorite Pirates's player, Andrew McCutchen.  He hit a home run and they went on to beat the Cubs.  We took off a bit early and the promise of ice cream brought us home until the we actually got home and the boys saw their friends outside playing.  Skip the ice cream and play baseball was what the boys were thinking.  Their friends wanted jerseys too.  Too bad.  Cameron and Mason wanted the jerseys washed that night so they can wear them tomorrow.  They enjoy all our specials times.  What will we do next?

National Pike Steam and Horse Show

One of Stacey's employee's families is heavily involved in the National Pike Steam and Horse Show and with tractors, guns, ropes, and more the boys were in.

First we stopped for personal rope making, then viewed the train, tractors, steam engines, diggers (some were very load) and of course eating corn dogs, cheesy fries, and buffalo burgers. Then a nice cold lemonade to wash it down.

Cameron entered the tractor pulled and did very well finishing third in his age group. Mason was a little too shy to try, but didn't mind hanging out on a tractor watching.

After the tractor pull Mason climbed up the two story dirt pile before both of them played in the sand pit.

What day would not be complete without a bow and arrow and rubber band shooting gun. Bang Bang!!!

School Picnic

This week I got to have lunch with two special boys at their school.  Both Cameron and Mason wanted McDonalds and I was happy to abliage.
In Cameron's class each student read a poem and I was so proud of Cameron for not picking an easy one like most of the others.  Cameron picked a true story about how his Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather saved Abraham Lincoln's life.  After he was finished his teacher had to tell everyone that is was a true story.
Mason's class read a story with each having a part.  Both Cameron and Mason spoke clearly and loudly.  It was fun to have lunch outside at school with my boys although all they wanted to do was play.  I will take what I can get.

Barb's Visit

Barb came to visit for Stacey's birthday and we had a nice relaxing time.  After a few baseball games in which the boys had games at the same time at two locations we saw Cameron take the field and bat then drove to Mason's game where he hit the field and got a hit.

After a few walks it was time for UNO. We will see Barb again in a couple months.
