1st Time

Stacey is away on business.

The boys are suddenly out of school.

Nothing else to do except....

SLEEP OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I decided (for what reason I still don't know) to have a sleep over. The 1st ever sleep over for the boys. We had boys ranging from ages 2 to 6 and a total of 5 boys. It started at 7:00 pm after they had all been fed and for the first 30 minutes is was pure mayhem. Typical boys stuff, but I decided they needed to calm down so I had them all change into their pajamas and brush their teeth. They all did great doing that so in with the movie. It was even going so well that I decided to take a chance and watch a movie of my own. After about 20 minutes into the movie one of the boys started crying and wanted to go home so off I went to bring him home only to find his mother did not answer the door or any of her phones. I told the little boy named George that his mommy was really good at hiding and that he would have to wait until she came out. At about 7:45 pm I decided the movie was finished and we were going to bed. Again the boys did great, but after 10 minutes another boy named Timur missed his mommy and wanted to go home. While getting him ready another boy named Charlie decided he wanted to go home. At 9 pm I was walking all the boys home and all their mommies were home to see them in. When I got home Cameron and Mason (never wanting to give up) asked if they could invite someone else over. Cameron said they were a big boy and would stay the whole time. I decided not to push my luck and said next time. The 1st sleep over ended in typical fashion and we look forward to the next one.

Swim Gala

The boys finished the summer off with a swim gala at school this year. They each got to show off their progress they made this summer. Cameron is learning his stroke and is fearless about trying anything. Mason went from using floaties to not wanting them at all. He even started to teach himself how to swim along side of the pool. It is amazing what a little confidence can do.

Kayaking on the Ural River

The Ural River separates the continents of Europe and Asia here in Kazakhstan. The color of the water reminds me of the Mississippi River and the locals swim and fish in it. The current is not that strong, but can be fatal for children.
Since we have been having wonderful weather here a few friends and I decided to take one morning and kayak. It was enjoyable and hard work at the same time. I hope to do it again as long as the weather contiues.
