Rock Climbing

Cameron, Mason, and I went indoor rock climbing.  Cameron went first and scaled the 34' wall in no time and with the usual no fear attitude.  Mason went second at did well.  I had to go next and reached the top, but it was not easy.  Cameron went again and tried the next level.  Sure enough he made it to the top again.  He is just awesome.  At first Mason said he did not want to go, but then he did and I was impressed that with everyone cheering him on he pushed himself even higher than last time.  I had to try the next level and this time I really had to push myself to get to the top.  My forearms were burning.  When asked if the boys wanted to go again, the answer was YES!!!

The Basketball Star

The first sport Cameron could get into since we moved to Pittsburgh is basketball.  He is not the tallest, but the shortest.  Not the biggest, but the smallest.  What he doesn't have in stature he makes up for with relentless drive and effort.  Cameron is in on every rebound and always wants the ball.  Ready to shoot and even though the basketball hoop is all the way at 10 ft he can make a foul shot.  Cameron is on a team with 9 and 10 yr olds and being 9 he has to get every thing he can.
