King Mason

We finally had another King's Day and since we had not had it in a while we drew names to see what the order would be. Mason asked Mama, "Can you pick me?" Sure enough Stacey picked Mason first so today was his King's Day.
Mason decided to eat Fruity Pebbles for breakfast, ride his scooter and bikes outside with his friends, listen to his iPod, eat mac and cheese for lunch, go swimming with his friends, watch Transformers and play the DS, eat fish sticks and have a cookie for dessert, and also sprinkle in lots of candy throughout the day. He had a fine day as king and no one will forget that his first rule was NO WORK. Does that tell us something about him?

No Work, Yeah!!!

Ok, Not a Rich King

Or a serious King

But a sweet one

Easter

I wouldn't say it was a Happy Easter here in the Offner Family. Mason had to be taught a lesson (time will tell if he learns from this) because he is consistently not listening to what we tell him to do. He knows he is wrong and does it anyway. He was punished all weekend and that meant no Easter Egg Hunt, but it doesn't look like it affected him at all because even while he was punished he still did not listen. How do you get through to your child when the punishments don't work?

In addition to Mason being punished, I have been hobbling around on crutches for 5 days since I severely sprained my ankle while playing basketball. I must have jumped really high because he leg is bruised and swollen in many areas. I tried to take pictures, but it just doesn't capture it.

We are fortunate because we are all together and thankful that Jesus died for us and since we believe in him can go to heaven when we die. That I am Thankful for.

A little candy

Which one is bigger?

Stacey giving her, about to go crazy smile.

Star of the Week

Mason was "Star of the Week" at school.  He is always our star.  Some of the activities were:  making a poster of all the fun things he likes to do, telling his favorite things (at least for that moment), snack for his class (brownies), and clues about his favorite toys.  You can see by the pictures why Mason is loved by all.

Mason's First Loose Tooth

Mason has been very excited ever since his tooth started to be loose.  He was constantly touching it and if you weren't talking about it he was tell you in a sobbing voice, "No one cares about my loose tooth."  His permanent tooth was coming up behind it and I got a bit concerned that he would need to go to the dentist and that would be difficult here so I encourage him to wiggle and twist his tooth.  I told him it may hurt a little, but that was okay.  He never complained about the pain and then a few days later he pulled it out.
The tooth fairy came that night about gave him 200 Tenge ($1.30).  Enjoy the pictures and videos.

Shipment has arrived

It is always nice to get the things you purchased even if it is three months later.  Mason was very excited to see his toy train again.  Cameron wanted his remote control car.  They were very helpful delivering items to various places in the house as I unpacked the boxes.  The incentive of more toys never hurts though.
