Transformers Party

Mason was introduced to Transformer by his good friend Timur and we knew he wanted a Transformers Party ever since. Who would have thought talking machines that go fast and blow stuff up would be liked by a 5 year old?

We had 10 children over to our house for Mason's Party. There were lots of rowdy boys punching the punching bag, playing air hockey, cars, video games, and bikes. The few girls that were there I put tattoos on. All had fun and Mason is ready for the next one.

Mardi Gras 2010

Happy Mardi Gras Everyone!!!

I coordinated a Mardi Gras Party Saturday night for 130 people and we had a great time. It brought me back to New Orleans with all the decorations, music, costumes, and of course food. We had red beans and rice, jambalaya, gumbo, chicken fettuccini, crawfish fettuccini, crab fettuccini, king cakes, pralines, and Pat O'Brien's hurricane drinks. People bring in lots of foods to make this event happen and we found some good local ingredients as well. We all ate until we were full and then danced the night away. Can't wait till next year.

Mason turns 5

Mason turned 5 today and is already talking about when he will be 6. I took the boys to their favorite place (Rowan) to play video games. Their skills have improved and Mason said now that he is 5 he wants to learn how to drive.
We are having his birthday party on Sunday since the 5 kids in his class all have birthdays within 3 weeks of each other and we want each child to have his/her own day to have their party. I can just hear it now, "Is today my party?".

WHO DAT

Getting up at 4 am to watch the Superbowl might sound crazy, but not like the New Orleans Saints winning it. Once I heard the Saints were going to the Superbowl, I ordered a Saints shirt and found someone coming to KZ so I could have it for the big game.
What an exciting game to watch. I don't get to see any of the commercials and the half time performance had a 5 second delay with the audio and the video, but I was just happy I could see the game. After the big win I am still in shock. After talking with family and friends in New Orleans, all the streets from the neighborhoods to Bourbon are filled. No one will be working this week and with Mardi Gras in full swing the party just might never end. WHO DAT!!!
